When I was 16 I got to spend 2 months in Romania on a missions trip. We did dramas, medical relief and spent a good chunk of our time in orphanages loving on precious little ones. One little girl gripped my heart. She had a cleft palate and the sweetest spirit. I wanted to pack her in my suitcase and bring her home with me… I almost did it too!

If I could have healed her smile I would have in a heartbeat! So when I heard about Operation Smile and how Campus Book Rentals is supporting them I knew I had to pitch in and do my part!

We're ecstatic to announce our 2011 Making a Difference Program. We have officially teamed up with Operation Smile, an out of this world, awesome organization, that performs life changing cleft lip surgeries on children whose families could not otherwise afford it. The long term Improvement in quality of life for the children that receive these surgeries is almost incomprehensible. We have committed to donating enough to cover a minimum of 1,000 life changing surgeries. We hope To beat that number, but it's a significant commitment.

Wow! 1000 surgeries! That is an incredible goal!
